The AFRICA ECO RACE is organized in accordance with the FIA International Sporting Code and its Annexes, the FFSA Sporting Regulations and the current Supplementary Regulations.

Eligible Group and Class:

GROUP T5 : CROSS-COUNTRY TRUCKS
Class T5.1: 10 000 cm3 or over
Class T5.2 : -10 000 cm3

 

CLASSIFICATION

Daily 

A general classification will be put up on the official board at each bivouac. 
There will be a separate classification for the T5, trucks category.

Prize giving

  • The AFRICA ECO RACE rewards a maximum of pilots either with a trophy or with a medal.
  • The first three trucks in the trucks scratch will receive a magnificent bronze trophy.

TRUCK SCRATCH CLASSIFICATION: 1st, 2nd, 3rd    
Class T5.1
(10 000 cm3 or over): 1st
Class T5.2 (- 10 000 cm3): 1st

ENTRY FEES

Are included in the entry fees:

The TWO-WAY BOAT TRANSPORT of each vehicle registered
The BOAT TRANSPORT of each participant for Morocco, 2 nights
The customs administrative formalities.

The fee applied will correspond to the one applicable at the time of the initial registration in race/raid category and respect of the payment schedule.

Once the racing vehicle(s) entered, the assistance vehicle(s) may be registered later.
Therefore, assistance will benefit from the same offer as the race registration

Example: registration of a racing / raid vehicle at the preferential rate. Registration for assistance after: the rate applied is the same as the one of the race / raid vehicle, ie "the preferential rate".

Please note: assistance must be entered in the same file as race / raid vehicle. The AFRICA ECO RACE cannot invoice several people or entities for the same team. 

SECURITY MATERIAL / EQUIPMENT

ARE COMPULSORY: 

GPS UNIK4 - ERTF

Competitors must rent the mandatory GPS directly from the Organizer’s exclusive supplier (ERTF), UNIK4. 

Competitors will therefore all be equipped with a single model GPS, with integrated warning Sentinel and interactive horn.
Only ERTF brand equipment or ERTF approved equipment can be paired with the GPS. Connection of any other equipment is prohibited.
Rental fees for the GPS UNIK4 : 879€

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already installed on board with operational electrical connections.
The various safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

IRITRACK – MARLINK

The NewTrack is a safety and communication equipment to be rented exclusively by the Organizer’s supplier (MARLINK).

It transmits real time positions of the competitors to the Race PC. This vehicle tracking satellite system will be on the website www.africarace.com throughout the rally.
Rental fees for the IRITRACK : 570€

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already installed on board with operational electrical connections.
The different safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Besides the mandatory safety material, it is obligatory for each crew to have:

  • 1 flashlight,
  • 2 distress flares: 1-night hand light, 1 cyalume,
  • 1 pair of motorcycle glasses, per crew member (for T3, T4 and SSV XTREME RACE groups),
  • 1.5 liters of non-alcoholic drinks per person, in flexible bags with mouthpieces or similar (CamelBak type),
  • 1 reserve of 5 liters of water in a tank, which must be easily accessible without having to use tools,
  • 1 x 9 m towing rope,
  • 1 aluminium survival blanket per person (2m x 1m approx.),
  • 1 belt cutter per team member, accessible whilst in the seat,
  • 1 very powerful audible warning horn, in perfect working order for the duration of the event,
  • 1 warning triangle + 1 fluorescent vest per person,
  • 1 shovel,
  • 1 first aid medical kit,
  • Flame resistant suit (FIA standards),
  • Flame resistant underwear, balaclava, socks, shoes, gloves (Driver) (FIA standards),
  • Front head restraint system, Hans or equivalent (FIA standards),
  • Harnesses (FIA standards),
  • Approved helmet (FIA standards).

FUEL

AUTONOMY

600 kms for a stage, 450 kms for Selective Stage.
For security reasons, an additional autonomy of 10% is recommended.


REFUELING

When there is no petrol station close to the bivouac, the Organizer will make fuel available at the bivouac, which will be delivered in barrels. 

LICENSE

  • Compulsory: each crew member must get a 2024 annual or 1 event international license ICCCR or ICCDRO or ICCD1 also valid for T1.
  • Careful: the nationality of the pilot on the entry list and the classifications must correspond to country of the federation in which the license was subscribed.

2 STEP INSCRIPTION PROCESS

As from now, to benefit from the best offer possible on your entry 

You have to:

Create an account or connect to an existing account 

  • MY ACCOUNT / VEHICLES: Create a vehicle and enter the dimensions. If you do not yet have the model, simply fill the slots with “X” 
  • MY ACCOUNT / MY TEAMS: Create your team 
  • MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: Create your race crew by attaching the vehicle 
  • MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: On the right: ACTION/MANAGER/MEMBER: Create the pilot and co-pilot. If you do not have all the names, fill the slot with “X”.  

Any information can be modified any time before the close of the entries.

To complete and finalize the team file

All slots need to be filled in your own time.
A copy of the following documents have to be uploaded :

  • Each passport of each person valid 6 months after the rallye.
  • Each valid driving licence (back and front) corresponding to the category of vehicle entering the race. 
  • Each vehicle registration document (including the trailer).  

Each Registration File must be finalised and fully completed before the date of the entry closing.
